This is a great phone & conversation piece. I love the purple, and I also like it because it is different. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys something special.
Daughter loves purple and requested old type phone for christmas. Found online and ordered. She loves it. Arrived promptly.
I was disappointed with this phone when I received it. Cheap plastic, weighs practically nothing. Yes, it is vintage looking but that is about it. If you get within 5 feet of it you can tell this is no vintage phone. The hand receiver has no meat to it. Not worth the 50 bucks, sending it back.
It's getting harder and harder to find phones that simply plug into a phone jack and work. This phone has a genuine bell ringer. I consider having one such phone in my home essential for use when there's a power outage. So I was pleased to find this at Target (who have since discontinued selling them). It's a nice looking retro piece that can garner comments from people who visit.especially if it happens to ring while they're there. No electronic sound effects. The dial is a touch keypad in the shape of a rotary dial, so it's functional for calls to menu systems where you need to push numbers to get through. It's a solid quality product that does everything it's supposed to do well.
The only problem I have is the handle is very heavy and big. I have a purple room and this phone was the final touch. It is mainly for show so i dont use it much (cell). Good quality. heavy and solid.
